Keep girls in school: no early marriage, no early pregnancy
About this project

Why it matters

In Uganda, about a third of young women were married before the age of 18, and about one in four girls aged 15 to 19 had already begun childbearing (Uganda Demographic and Health Survey 2016). In rural communities like ours, girls are the first to leave school when money is short or when they are needed at home. This project keeps girls learning. It provides sanitary pads so no girl misses school each month, a girls' club with mentoring and life-skills sessions on growing up, relationships and staying safe, fees for girls at risk of dropping out, talks with parents about the value of keeping daughters in school, and follow-up the same week a girl stops coming. Every shilling is reported here, and girls' identities are protected.

Your questions, answered

Giving starts with understanding.

How can I donate?

Use the official campaign link when it is available, or contact the school to discuss a pledge. The pledge form records your intention; it does not process a payment.

Can I donate clothes or school materials?

Yes, you can discuss an in-kind contribution with the school. Confirm current needs, sizes, quantities and delivery arrangements before sending items.

How can I follow progress?

Visit the school Updates page for published news. Ask the school for the budget, current milestones and responsible contact for a particular cause.

Can my organisation become a partner?

Visit the Partners page and contact the school to discuss the support you can offer. Partnership names and logos should be published only with agreement.

Can I support school fees?

Discuss the current need and period of support with the school. Eligibility and allocation should be confirmed by the school; children's private records are not published on this website.
